MINISTRY UPDATE
At the “Word of The Lord” we are sharpening our focus and aiming for the “Bulls-Eye” of building an “Apostolic Revival Minded Congregation”. The first step in the refining was to affiliate with the World Revival Network.
DETAILS of THE “WORD of THE LORD” and the Refining
As our ministry partners and returning friends know Simple Gospel Truth Ministries from it’s inception has had one central purpose, “Kingdom Revival”, producing fruit that remains, real discipleship, equipping, reconciliation and restoration to God.
We have a fairly large over-all vision which has not changed but as you are about learn the way we are getting there is being redefined and refocused at the “Word of The Lord”.
The Vision In One Word Is:
REVIVAL - Global Kingdom Revival !
As always, when we seek Him we find Him. S.G.T.M. under the leadership of founding Pastors Gene and Glenda Mansfield has from the moment they officially launched the ministry operated by “Prophetic Mandate” in accordance with wise counsel from seasoned Apostles and Pastors. After far to long without a break they decided to have some down time in Mid-August of this year. God had a plan even in that, leading Gene to register for the Empowered Church conference at World Revival Church in Kansas City, MO.
On the weekend of August 15th at a conference at World Revival Church the Lord spoke some very specific things to Pastor Gene. It all started with Gene observing how the people were receiving from God freely and easily and how they were being set free. Pastor Gene said to the Lord “Lord there is no reason why we should not have this type of atmosphere available to the people of Tulsa, we should have something like this.”(Meaning a larger venue where the spiritual atmosphere was consistently prepared and available as it is at World Revival Church) The Lord’s response was so quick and clear it almost startled Gene.
Almost instantly the Lord said, ”You are right, now what are you going to do about it?” At that moment Gene knew that he had been “set up” by “Jehovah-Trickster” the God who will let you believe whatever you want to believe to get you where he is taking you. From that point on that weekend was one divine appointment after another and one Rhema word after another.
The Lord let Pastor Gene know that the over-all vision was correct but to that to continue to aim at the “whole vision” at this point was like trying to hit a target with a shotgun at 100 yards. The Lord instructed Pastor Gene to lay down the shotgun and pick up the rifle, dial in the scope and stay focused on and consistently hit the “Bulls-Eye”.
The Lord let Pastor Gene know that we are on the right track with the current “Move of God” in the services and that we are to focus on building on the platform of Global Kingdom Revival establishing an “apostolic revival minded congregation” that flows in “REVIVAL FIRE” and will serve as the foundation and launching pad for the over-all vision, while continuing to provide the Audio Downloads and Web cast to the extended Ministry Family and the World.
When it was all said and done Pastor Gene was confident that the weekend was without a doubt one of those Karios moments he had been preaching about and that Simple Gospel Truth Ministries was being brought into a relationship with World Revival Church and the World Revival Network.
The following weekend with the unanimous agreement of all advisors and leadership the application for congregational affiliation was turned in. On Wednesday September the 9th we were notified by text message from International Director J.D. King that we had been accepted as an Affiliate Congregation of the World Revival Network.
